- 4 pelt trade tiers
- Checked Oct 24, 2026
In 99 Nights in the Forest, “values” means what an item is worth inside the game: how much fuel a log gives the fire, how much scrap a tire grinds into, or what a pelt buys from the Pelt Trader.
We pulled the numbers below from the game’s community wikis and guides and cross-checked them in October 2026. Updates can change values, so treat them as a guide and tell us if something has moved.

Keep at least 10 logs stocked before night falls. Oil Barrels are worth saving for late nights.

Scrap and wood are spent at the Crafting Bench. See what each recipe costs in the crafting calculator.
Pelt Trader values
The Pelt Trader arrives on day 2, comes back every 3 to 4 days, and leaves at nightfall. Each player has their own four-step trade path, and each step asks for a rarer pelt.
| Pelt | What it can buy |
|---|---|
| Bunny Foot | Good Axe, Good Sack or Old Flashlight |
| Wolf Pelt | Old Rod, Spear or Revolver (ammo if you already own one) |
| Alpha Wolf Pelt | Rifle, Strong Flashlight, Old Flashlight or Giant Sack |
| Bear Pelt | Strong Flashlight, Iron Body or Strong Axe |
Short on pelts? Spend them on the Rifle or the Iron Body first; those change runs the most. Where each animal lives is in the monsters guide.
